Is there a way to make the defualt view for the quick search be hidden?
And, if there are no fields selected for quick search, can you make it so the hidden and float icons don't show? It's a bit confusing.
Thanks,

Tim

Quick search panel is hidden by default if you do not choose any 'Quick search' fields. Marking field as 'Quick search' means it will be visible on quick search panel once page is loaded. All other 'search' fields will be accessible via 'Add field' menu.

I have the same problem . Quick search loads when list page loads. I would like to not have it visible when page loads. I would like the user to have the option of clicking on the arrow to open quick search.

John,
It's as Sergey says: quick search panel is hidden if you don't choose any "Quick Search" fields. You choose quick search fields on the Fileds page of ASPRunner... look for the new column called quick search and clear all checks.
It took me a little to figure out all the ins and outs of this new feature, but now that I am more comfortable with it, I LOVE it! Great work, as always, xline.
Also John, you should download the latest version. They made some tweaks to this feature.

  • added an option do turn search panel on and off. 'Choose pages->List page->Options'
  • added an option to switch between old-style basic search (Contains, Any field, ...) and new-style (Google-like).
  • search panel state is saved between page visits
    Good luck!
