Yes, I must agree with the first point. Advanced search on the list page is a great feature, but not always needed/wanted. At the very least it would be nice to have an option to default to hidden. And I just made it hidden, then did a search in the basic search box, and when the results came back, advanced search was no longer hidden. |

Wait, I just discovered that I can remove all fields from the Quick Search column on the Fields tab of the wizard and this removes the search along the left of the list page. That works for me. Not sure if it solves it for you acpan, because you don't have the old simple search were you can choose your search field. |

ya, I had to get rid of this , the office hated this new feature, quickness is the name of the game here and more clicks means more time. I am attempting to find a way to get the old pulldown field values back in the search as a constant on the page and not a widget. so far no luck , but trying. |

Our customer too liked more the old Quick Search than the new search box. This is stopping us upgrading to PHPR 5.2. |

I too like the old search layout better. Is there an easy to edit the lheader template file back to the old search? |
