Guest users and their functions

I am using the Guest login feature (albeit simulated via some coding using AD) and notice that in addition to the ADD NEW and EDIT option disappearing (which is what I want), the ability to export and print the data also disappears.
Is this behaviour by design, and if so, why?

please make sure you have added print/export permissions for guest account on the Security tab.
