Image Field on SQL

I create a Document Table like this on SQL 2005.
DocumentID int

ItemsInProcessID int

DocumementImage image

LoginName varchar(50)

dLastUpdate datetime
I'm able to add a record and save the record. I load a document to the record and i loaded a JPG and i also loaded a PDF.
When i try to view it nothing comes up. On the image icon i have a little x on the upper left corner of the image control.
Any help on see how the engine retrieves the images?
I use ASPRunner.net 4.0
