More an more crashes

I'm getting more and more crashes (This program hs stopped responding...) in V5 (Windows XP Home). Especialy when starting the FTP upload. All unsaved info lost. I also get the feeling that when saving first, the crashes happens more. Catch 22
Will it help to re-install, or any other cures?
How far are we from final 5.1? If close I might just bear out with the crashes... I was advised to not use 5.1 on live projects yet.

I had the same problem with 5.0 on two XP machines. One had 1G of memory and was almost unusable due to crashes. The other machine had XP Pro and 4G of memory and only crashed occasionally. Sine I started using 5.1, I have not had a single crash on either machine. 5.1 works MUCH smoother and faster, with ZERO crashes. There are still a few fine tuning areas that 5.1 needs, but overall the improvement was TREMENDOUS!
