Where is the setting for period of time the session will stay open. I want it to stay open infanintly.

This can be changed in Web site properties in Internet Information Services management console.
Go to Start->Settings->Control panel->Administrative tools->Internet Services manager. Right click on your Web site and choose Properties. Proceed to Home directory->Configuration->APP options. Change Timeout value.
