hi,

i cant get my advance security settings work
my login:

username: LastName

Password: password
Advance security settings
Current Table:

grading_sheettbl
Users Table:

Teacher_tbl
i have relationship between my two tables
grading_sheettbl.teacher = teacher_tbl.lastname
and my login is

teacher_tbl.lastname, password is teacher_tbl.password
but i cant make this work, i want the user can only see his data

i click the radio button: "Users can see and edit their own data only"
please help...

Hi,
choose Users can see and edit their own data only security method and select teacher and lastname as OwnerID fields in the corresponding dropdowns.

what table should i choose?

grading_sheetbl or teacher_tbl?
anyway, i tried grading_sheettbl

click the Advance

click the Users can see and edit their own data only

under theUser table OwnerID field I dropdown to LastName( because my login is LastName and Password )

under the Main table OwnerID field I dropdown to Teacher( because the teacher field holds the lastname of the User )
BUT, it doesnt work, the user can see other's records
please help
