Changing the Width of a Column in List View

Hi

The width of columns in list view seems to be dictated by the width of the field name eg "Surname".

Nothing I do in visual editor seems to change anything eg altering cell properties width.
Any advice? phpR 5.0

Don't know if this helps but I had a table in List View that had 2 Col and 4 Rows and I could only change the width by Right Clicking Cell Properties then select the width % and check "Apply to whole column".
If I did that in any other row other then the top one it would not change.
