I am using 5.0 (763) and I am trying to use the vertical layout.
Under "pages to build" screen, I have only checked "list" - it is the only page I want.

Then under the "field choices", I checked the inline edit and inline add for each field. I only want to edit and add from the list page, with inline edit.
I set all the fields settings in the visual designer. The permissions for edit and add are checked too.
I build and load.
The fields I am using are: photo, title, description, and a couple other small fields. When I click inline add - I can easily add all the fields no problem. But when I click inline edit, it will only let me edit the photo field, all the other fields are not editable. I double check the field choices and they all have inline edit checked as to do them.
I even did the build again and reload of all the files, just to make sure that something was not missed. I still get the same results.
I have switched to different templates too and they all have the same results.
I went back and changed the format to not be vertical layout and the inline edit works? So it is definately the vertical layout that has the problem. This is the layout I need unfortunately.
Is anyone else having problems with inline edit in the 5.0 version in the vertical layout? Any ideas of some thing to try to get it to work. I am at a deadline for this site and any help is appreciated. I know I did not have this problem in 4.2.

I think I figured it out.
If the photo field is not at the bottom of the list for fields then it some how blocks the rest of the fields to open for editing. But I moved the photo field to the very last field in the vertical layout and now it works.
Note I adjusted the layout of fields from the "Fields Order and Totals" screen.
So I think there is a bug or glitch somewhere concerning vertical layout, a field set up as Photo and where that field is in the list of the layout.
It did it on ALL the different templates.

I think there is something wrong with the vertical layout in the templates for sure. I have tried doing this on other pages and it is having problems inline add. Nothing shows up to add when you click it. It just puts a new record with no boxes to fill in.

Kim,
first step - get the latest version of PHPRunner (build 766).
If you still have any issues post your application to Demo Account and send us the URL for investigation.

766 downloaded, project rebuilt and still same problem.

PS - I had my own customized layout, but I switched it to paris and still have the same problem.

Kim,
you need to use Demo Account button. We cannot troubleshoot it on your server.
Make sure you open a ticket at http://support.xlinesoft.com sending your demo account URL.
