new detail record linked to wrong master record

Hi,

I have a customer that says she did a search on a master table then drilled down to the matching detail records and added a new record. The new detail record was created and linked to a master record that happens to be the next sequential master record from the correct one.
This is reported as a sporatic problem. I have not been able to repeat this error and I dismissed it politely the first time it was reported but apparently it has happened a second time.
Has anyone experienced similar issues? Any ideas on what might be going on?

do you use events for these tables?

It's difficult to tell you what's happening without seeing actual files.
Please publish your project on Demo Account and send to support@xlinesoft.com a URL to your pages along with instructions on reproducing this error.

I'll find what's wrong with your project inspecting it at Demo account site.

Sorry for my delay in replying, I've been out of town.
Since the data is sensitive and its only happened twice out of hundreds of updates, my client has agreed that it might have been an error on her part and she will wait to see if it happens again before pursuing.
Thanks for you offer to take a look and if the problem resurfaces I will take you up on your offer.
