More fields in Master Table Info (list) than List page

Hello,

Can I show all or most of the master table fields in the Master Table Info (list) while only showing a summary list in the List view.

What I want to do is to show a summary of purchase orders in the Master Table List view then when the user goes to the line item list they see the complete order header in the Master table info.
Is this possible or an I going about it in the wrong way?

Yes, you can select what is displayed in the Choose Fields page.

Except that both the LIST view and the Master Table Info (List) seem to be controlled by the same Choose Fields column (List).

Hi,
you can check off all fields on the list page on the Choose fields tab.

Then remove unnecessary fields on the main list page on the Visual Editor tab manually.

Hi Jane,

I've at last got back to this project and find that when I manually delete the fields in the Visual Editor of the List Page they get deselected in the Choose Fields page.

So even though I have added the fields on the Master Table Info Page the data does not appear.
By the way the Master table Info Page is a table I built not the automatically generated one, I inserted the fields using the visual editor then changed to text mode and changed the _value fields to _mastervalue fields. I then deleted the autogenerated table. I suspect that this may cause the problem as the system cannot see the automatically generated fields so thinks there is none displayed so deletes the check from the Choose Fields (I think).
Should I build the table by shifting fields from the auto generated page or will this not work either?
