Master Detail Relationship BIG issue.

We have the following setup and it worked fine in v5. Now with v6 it doesn't work.
Customers (PK:Cust_NO) -> WorkOrders (PK:WO_NO, link:Cust_NO - IDX) -> WO_Items (PK:WO_NO, Link: WO_NO).
In ver5 we could add a WorkOrder to a customer, even if there was no WO for that customer. That makes sense and is as the universe dictates.
In ver6. we "Cannot" add a WorkOrder to a Customer if there are no WO for that customer - period!
If a WorkOrder exists, then we can "add new one/edit/delete" etc.
Bottom line, in ver5 we could add, now we can't. "Nothing - I mean Nothing" has changed with regard to the db schema. This is a DB system that is owned by our client and we've gone over and over the system. The only thing that has changed is ASPrunner (yeah it's the eval version from the site - but that shouldn't matter - does it???)
We even removed all security in V6 to make sure that wasn't the issue. nothing. We've created a dummy blank project with just Customers and WorkOrders, set the relationship and can't add a WorkOrder to a Customer unless one already exists.
We can, of course, follow the menu link to WorkOrders and add, but that won't work, as there is no link between Customers and WorkOrders. It will add an orphaned record (Cust_no = Null, WO_NO:Auto).

Please note: I mentioned it's the EVAL version.
Also note, as indicated, this is not our DB and we can't just publish a link (or it's data/project) to a client site with their sql db and data.
We double checked and vesion 5 is fine. Is this an issue with the EVAL vesion as inidcated. Interestingly enuff, we followed seveal other posts and there seems to be alot of issues with this version and by all indications, there are fixes on the way.
Any idea as to how long?

you've been evaluating this product for 45 days. Now it's the time to purchase it.

From Oct 29 to today does not equal 45 days evaluation of Runner 6.
The fact that we downloaded the latest "Greatest" version has no relevance on the question at hand.
It's a new version, a new download and a new question.
Further, why would one buy a product when a simple thing like Master/Detail breaks? Just curious.

Wanda,
this product works. Master-Details work. You know this.
If this doesn't work the way you expect something is not configured properly. Impossible to tell with seeing database and project.
What I'm saying it's the time to make a commitment. Purchase the product and get the support you deserve.
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do if you are only interested in evaluating.

I purchased asprunner a few years ago, use it everyday, have purchased upgrades as they came out, and don't regret it. I found the product is an excellant product and has great value. I would suggest you buy the program.

if you want your issue fixed, you can still upload your project with dummy data.

Otherwise master-details has worked very well for me, sometimes one need to be carefull on the data source table window to make sure the links are well established
