calendar template disconnected from database

I installed the calendar template into ASPRunnerPro5.1\templates\business,per the instructions. When I attempt to use the calendar template, it's disconnected from the database. Once I select the calendar database, whatever settings that existed in the template are blanked out. Please advise. Thanks.
