can rectangle field in the edit page be longer?

In my edit page, the rectangle fields for author and title are not wide enough to show all names. I tried to make it longer in visual editor page, but no success. Is there a way to make these fields longer so that they are able to show the names fully.

Hi,
to change size of the text field on the add/edit page edit Size option on the "Edit as" settings dialog on the Visual Editor tab.
