Incorrect Memo Text Format

Using ASP Runner Pro 3.1a I have a problem with memo fields from my database that do not format correctly when in 'edit' record. Existing records display correctly when 'viewed' but change when going to 'edit'. Here is an example:
This > There has been so much to do over the last few weeks, it's sometimes difficult to organise which is the most important!


Changes to this > There has been so much to do over the last few weeks, it’s sometimes difficult to organise which is the most important!


Of course, if you update the record, the incorrectly amended text replaces the original text.

I still cannot sort out this formatting problem.........does anyone have any ideas what's happening???

I too have the same problem. Each time a record is opened, & is replaced by &amp;. So I get the following progression each time a record is edited:
"

&quot;

&amp;quot;

&amp;amp;quot;

&amp;amp;amp;quot;
I haven't looked to hard into this yet, but if anyone has an easy solution, let me know.

I get the same progression of characters each time I save/update.
I've found that if I set the view field type as HTML and edit as 'text area' the problem seems to go away.
