PHPRunner General questions

toasty author

I've been running into all sorts of grief with trying to make use of PHPRunner. I have no doubt it can do what I'm after, but perhaps it's my lack of SQL and PHP knowledge that prevents me form customizing an app for what I'm after. I'm wondering if anyone can either point me to a nice "how to", a tutorial, or even tell me what I need to do. I've searched through the forum and thus far not found any solid direction for what I'm after.
I'm doing a health related database that (stripped down to its basics) lists health conditions and supplements that can be used to treat them. Multiple supplements can lead to multiple health conditions and vice versa. Ideally I'd have a page that lists the supplements. For each supplement row it will list the condition(s) it treats. Clicking on the given supplement will take the user to a detailed page that would display miscellaneous data, including more details regarding the supplements effect on the linked condition(s).
If anyone has any ideas how I'd do this, or how I could figure out how to do it with PHPR, that would be awesome. I've been wracking my brain for the past week or so experimenting with the trail but it feels like I've made zero-to-little headway.
Thanks in advance <img src='https://asprunner.com/forums/file.php?topicimage=1&fieldname=question&id=7025&image=1&table=forumtopics' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
