Shopping Cart Template general questions

We purchased this product and found several issues. This is one of them. A product has been entered including the onhand quantity. Open order quantity, available from and available to have also been entered. With these fields entered and the user adds to cart, a pop up box claiming that the item is no available in stock pops up. Please let me know what we can do to fix this.
