I built a data base made the front end with asp runner and check marked the boxes for edit and delete to be shown. Created a logon page and use users that I have setup in another table to see everyones entries but can only edit their own. i put a few test entries in and when signing in as that person I can see what is entered but it will not give me the edit or delete option.

Phil,
make sure that when you add records you logged as the same person. It sounds like records you have added do not belong to that person.
If it doesn't help - zip and send me the whole content of ASPRunner output
