This build supports VB.NET. Several minor bugs fixed.

  • Demo Account support
    We use SubSonic as a Data Access Layer framework. You can find more about SubSonic at http://www.subsonicproject.com. The good news is that Subsonic author was hired by Microsoft to continue further development.
    DAL limitations:
  • Every database table needs to have one primary key. Compound primary keys not supported. This a Subsonic limitation.
  • Custom SQL queries are not supported (this will be fixed later)

    Visual Editor supports grid modifications on the list page.

This beta version supports C# and .NET Framework 2.0 only.
This update can be installed to the separate directory. You may keep the previous version of ASPRunner.NET (3.0 and older) and run both versions side by side.

Downloaded and tried to installed softwas but got the following error:

The failed to start because libmysql.dll could not be found.

For those who could not get the beta to work, you can download the missing file libmysql.dll ( google on file file nmae for web site); then install the dll in the directory of the beta.

The Visual Editor doesn't seem to be working. I deleted several columns in the list view, but the visual editor does not save the changes. Perhaps, you mistyped in the annoucement regarding the purpose of this release - Visual Editor!. Also, in reviewing the forum messages posted as far back as April, 2007, Eugene said he was going to include master pages in the next release of ASPRunnerNet - the schedule was 30 days, then 60 days then August, then September.

For those who could not get the beta to work, you can download the missing file libmysql.dll ( google on file file nmae for web site); then install the dll in the directory of the beta.

I apologize for delay with getting the next beta out of doors.
Converting ASPRunner.NET to generate and use Data Access Layer made us change a lot of code. Basically we switching every single control from SQLDataSource to ObjectDataSource. Hopefully we are close and next beta will be ready later this week.

I'm still getting a system error when I build - CStoVBConvert has encountered a problem and needs to close. Also various errors and problems in some pages such as cast errors, view page not found, etc.

Hi i am also getting erors, system.NullReferenceException in STOVB.exe[2140]
The application does generate but when running the master/detail relationship does not work and the page numbers appear overlapped in the details found reaxt area. <img src='https://asprunner.com/forums/file.php?topicimage=1&fieldname=reply&id=24610&image=1&table=forumreplies' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />
