Hello,
in the normal view you can open a document with double-click. No problem. If you have many documents in your list the explorer gets problems with the memory and after several movements the display may stopp, because every document in the view is loaded.
so my intention is to put the document itself only in the view mask.

This increases the performance evidently. Unfortunately you can no open this document with double-click.
how to do this...
Thanks

Uwe,
you are right - I have to fix it on the view page.
Btw, displaying a large number of documents on the list page should not be a problem. Since Internet Explorer should display the same binary file icon for each field this icon is loaded just once.

Hello Support,
try it and you will see that the explorer not only loads the picture. I tried the following :
2000 Documents , each with 100 MBytes in a MYSQL Database

The loading in the List View wil never end........
2000 Documents, each with 30 kBytes in a MYSQL Database

The loading time is okay. But after paging for several times the

Internet explorer hangs., the Icons disappears .... Wee tried it on severeal

different PCs
2000 Documents, but no image in the list view. Document Icon is only put on

the view page.

Very fast loading and no problems.
Like ACCESS 2000 does, the internet Explorer too is loading the contents of the

whole !!!! binary file, even you only display the icon in the list view.
BTW : Can you describe a workaroundto open the document in the View form ?

I have some hundred users waiting for this and your next update may be too

late for me..
Thank you
