I want to ask if it is possible, that a customer has only access to an application, when he has a valid email address.
The following way must be possible:

  • The customer must register with username and password
  • after that he gets an email with username, password, and a link for the application to login
What must i do for this feature?

Hi,
to validate email address select Email in the the Validate as dropdown box on the "Edit as" settings on the Visual Editor tab.
Regarding the emails.

To send email after registration add AfterSuccessfulRegistration event on the Events tab. Use Send simple email action as a sample.

Ok, but when an user has registered, he has automatically a login possibilty.
I think, it must be possible, that an user can only login when he gets an email and then he must confirm the email. (activation email)
After that, he gets a valid login link.
Is this possible?

I am new to phprunner and this is my first post so please excuse me if I have missed your point.

I had the same sort of problem and solved it like this:-

I set up a "member" field in my membership database which can only be accessed by the administrator.

In "security" I added a group "Member".

I receive an email as administrator when someone registers and I manually approve them by updating their membership record and replacing "Null" in the member field with "Member".

Only then can the new member access the data. Non members are redirected to a page telling them their membership is under review.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like a very nice approach.
