In 5.0.261 when you add the "Total" function to a column on the list page, it only works if you validate that field as a number. Is this working as designed?
The problem I have is that when validating as a number the values in that field are displayed with a decimal point. Is there a way to move or get rid of the decimal point?

I'm not sure how validation which happens on Edit/Add pages is related to totals on the list page.

Somehow it is. If I validate as a number the totals appear correctly. I choose "No Validation" the total is blank.
