ASPRunner Professional 5.0 beta 1 (build 260)

I'm working actually with 4.1. I just installed version 5 (in a separate folder) and get the error window "Unregistered Version" when I try to start 5.0.

What's wrong?

by the way did you implement inline editing yet? or it is scheduled for summer?

I have start to try 5.0 beta of asprunner
it look great but.. i have try to use CARS sample

if i change in admin_cars , add page , MAKE proprieties and check "lookup wizard as edit box with AJAX"

the dependent dropdown MODEL , after i have buid it of course, not work.

1. problems with exiting the program:
   
   ASP runner exits but also shuts down Internet explorer
   
   ASP runner DESTROYED my previously built VIEW page
   
   ASP runner has problems with Charts: they are shown within the visual editor as a menu item but are not generated

Version 5.0 don't require older versions to be uninstalled. You may keep ASPRunnerPro 4.x and use both version side by side.

not correct!
everytime you start ASP runner pro 5 (while having version 4 installed) it deletes your ASP runner version 4(four) user registration data from the computer, and vice versa.
for example I have entered my registered user data into version 5 ans was able to test the latest build 239.

Once exited, i tried to use ASP runner 4 "side by side" and I got the window "your trial period has expired"

so luckily, I have saved previous(current not beta) version registration data and managed to restore my project.
Also, to add,:

in version 5 I have added, saved, and build a chart, then saved it again, then clicked "finish" and exited the program.
then loaded version 5 again, and deleted chart completely, saved and exited again.
then started version 4, opened SAME project again and what do I see? : the chart was still listed in the project, even though it was deleted just now and saved configuration.

Hi,
When I add a chart I am only offered 3 fields for any database table. Is this a bug or am I missing a trick. This is true for any chart type I try.
If I add a report I am offered all fileds.

All registration issues should be resolved by build 241.

I recommend to install it and re-register ASPRunnerPro 4.1 after that if you need to run both programs.

Charts only work with numeric fields.
I regards to other issues - if you have an issue that is reproducable post your app to Demo Account and send me URL along with step-b-step guide on reproducing this.

This looks fantastic so far - well done to all involved.
One problem encountered so far is with the Reports. When I click the report I get the following error:
Error Type:

Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A000D)

Type mismatch: 'grouptotals_count'

/int2/asptest/12WK_Settlement_DAT_Report_report.asp, line 300
Not really sure what this relates to as i've not set any of the tickboxes for "Show page summary" "Show details and summary" or "Show global summary"

Hi, where can I read a tutorial on how to use charts please?

I see the chart on the menu page inside the ASPrunner, but fail to se it once the project is generated.

Does this release allow you to add and edit multiple records at a time, or does it only allow you to edit one record at a time?

Multiple records adding/editing is scheduled for the next update (late summer 2007).

I wish to see in a future release the ability to double click any page in the visual editor and that opens the corresponding XXX_list.asp (xxx_view.asp, xxx_add.asp, .. etc) directly using notepad, or Front page, or any default editor. ASPrunner Pro 5.0 should give an error message if the asp file is not yet generated.
