N nhighton author Hey, ok my problem (which has been driving me mad, nay, insane all day) is that I can't make fields in the add new database entry page not be required. I don't want any to be required, but I can't seem to turn it off. I'm using version 4.1 professional (demo version). I've made the database and uploaded it etc... it's all finished apart from the add page! Before it's suggested, I've changed the 'required' box to 'no' in design view in Microsoft Access and to no avail, so after searching the forum, I couldn't find any thread which solved my problem as I've completely ran out of ideas! Is it the fact that I'm using the demo version? Any help would be greatly appreciated and will probably shave off 10 years until my midlife crisis starts! Thanks, Nick

Thanks, Nick Have a primary key in that table? Is it autonumbered? Have you unchecked in ASPRunner "required" for each field - rebuilt / uploaded the project to your web server?
