I have a fairly typical model. Users can be in the group User or Admin. There is only one user in Admin called "admin". Two questions are:

  1. If I am using group permissions, what is the relevance of the "Add amin user.." checkbox?
  2. As administrator I want to see all the user fields (e.g. including security level) for all the users but the user will just want to see "Edit my profile", so will also need different menu choices and a different view. How is this achieved?

Hi,
you can do the following:

  • check off Login page on the Security tab
  • select one admin in the Admin UserID dropdown box on the Advanced security settings dialog
  • create deafult permissions group (for all users except Admin) on the Define user group permissions dialog and set up correct permissions for this group.
