Anyone else having trouble with PPRunner freezing during an upload? I keep having to end the software for freezing. I've been building and then finishing. Then restarting it and then uploading it. Trying to figure out if its my system.
Thanks

I just checked and already have Passive mode checked in the ftp settings. It's just confusing - sometimes it happens, sometimes not. I will keep looking for a consistant pattern. Thanks for your help.

Hi there,
I have had similar experiences recently I think in the last to builds of 3.1 in 202 for sure.

I would have to end the task and start over. No information would be lost since last save though.

Once I had to re upload all files.
Just my experiences,
Vivek

I get it often as well. In my case, the pattern seem to happen when I have my FTP program (WS_FTP LE) open as well but I can't determine if it's only then.
It would be nice to be warned that a project needs to be saved before uploading. This will prevent loss of work.

I have experienced the "upload freeze" since I moved to 3.1. I have been trying to keep updated as the new versions are released and every one of them has shown this problem (just downloaded 202, so jury is still out). When I was on 3.0 (for about 9 months) I don't recall having this issue. My environment has been stable between 3.0 and 3.1 (except IE 7.0 upgrade) so I don't think it's my setup. Anyway, I have learned to save before doing a Build because as we already know, the "freeze" will lose you some work. I imagine Sergey and gang are checking since there seems to be a number of us affected.

Unfortunately, it just happened to me from a fresh boot without my ftp open. But I will keep looking for patterns on my own system.

NancyGeek, Stephan, Vivek and greg_de,
I'm sorry about this incovenience.
We haven't updated FTP upload routine for long time and it sounds we cannot postpone this anymore.

Most probably we switch to another FTP component which is more reliable.
And yes, we adding an option to save project file before upload.
If anyone is interested I can supply you with version of PHPRunner that logs all FTP conversation to text file that can helps to resolve this issue.

Contact me directly at support@xlinesoft.com if you are interested.

Sergey, Thanks for checking on this. As a newbie, I'm just grateful and relieved to know that it's not just me having this problem.
To all the people having the same problem: curious. How did you set up FTP? I was in a hurry and just uploaded the php component. Is it possible the problem is in the phprunner.php that we uploaded? A common demoninator?
