 How do I connect to a Uniform Server on a network

I am a newbie to php and databases and I am trialling PHPrunner 2.0. My local files are on another computer running Uniform Server identified as W:
I try to create a test database but cant workout how I am supposed to identify a local server. When I click the connect button in the first dialog box I always get an error alert which says it cannot find local database.
It seems like I need to identify the server somehow, but it is also telling me the database doesnt exist (which is why I am trying to create it.)
Can anyone help me get started?

Hi,
to use PHPRunner you need to have a database server set up and running.

Contact your system administrator to find out if there are database servers in your network and to provide you with connection details.

Or install a MySQL server on your local box.
