Search - invalid column

Hi, just trying out ASPRunner.net.
My sql query has a left join. The two tables have columns of the same name and therefore I have provided aliases.
The alias name appears in the search dropdown list and as a column in the grid.
However, on pressing search an error 'invalid column' is produced. The search does work on a column without an alias.
Does anyone have any ideas?
