Beta 3.1 Problem

I got the following error when I generated my project using the new 3.1 beta:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/ccdem2/public_html/new/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 75

Yep, I had exactly the same problem.
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in .../phprunner/linguistsadmin/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 75
I tried converting two projects from version 3, rebuilding and uploading and in both cases got the same error message.

I then tried creating a new project in the beta version but had the same error message again.

thanks for pointing me to this!
It appears we didn't test it well enough with PHP 4. We'll fix it today and put update to the forums.
