static vs. dynamic permission

In an existing PHPR 10.5 project, I plan to change the permissions from "static" to "dynamic".
A first test shows that the previous (static) rights are not transferred to dynamic and everything has to be set up again.
QUESTIONS:
a) Is there a way to export the STATIC rights and then import them into the DYNAMIC?
b) Alternative: Is there a way to copy the STATIC rights of a group to a new group (and then adjust them there with a few clicks?

Static permissions will not automatically translate into Dynamic Permissions. You need to do this manually.

I would bite the bullet and convert to dynamic.
It's only gonna suck once. :)
