Dashboard question on permissions and white space.

I am including sample pic to describe my question.
I have a dashboard with 3 dashboard elements as shown below:

User "John" has permissions to see all of the dashboard elements and it shows perfectly as shown above.

When user "Mark" logs in, he only has permissions to see dashboard elements 1 and 3. So he ends up with a white space where 2 would show if he had permissions to see this element.

Question:
How do I eliminate the white space where label 2 was for "Mark" when he doesn't have permissions to see it. I feel like I am missing something simple because I would think this problem would be brought up by several people.
