Good afternoon,
Is there some good explanation how to use multiuser in V11? when I followed the links I com at a post from 2011 using SVN. Which already was possible I suppose?

I was hoping it would be much easier in V11?

Please read this FAQ:
https://asprunner.com/forums/topic/30499-Version-11-Frequently-Asked-Questions

It is not available yet but will be soon. It will be very different from SVN/git or similar tools. All changes made by other developers will be immediately seen in the software.

Ah ok. clear.. I see it will be a paid solution. That is a pity..

Thanks.

This sounds a bit ridiculous. If you multiple developers to work on a project, you first need to purchase a license for each developer, right?

Multi-developer edition simply allows multiple developers to work on the same project at the same time. It doesn't change the fact that each developer needs to have their own license.

I think this is a fair although it might be a problem for me if you have to pay for multiple users even if you are a single user.

@Dalkeith,

I understand what you saying but the question is: why would a single developer wants/needs multi-developer version?

The main idea of multi-developer edition is not to extract more money from customers but to enable those companies whi employ multiple developers. Lets a company has three PHPRunner or ASPRunner.NET licenses already. For them switching to multi-developer edition would simply be a matter of paying the same price they would have paid renewing their maintenance.

For all other scenarios and use case that may benefit imdividual developers - contact support directly explaining your use case and we'll find a cost-effective solution for you.

I'm just thinking out loud.
Multi user for single developers. When we have a situation that we need a help from someone else to help us out with a biger project.
There could be an Add-in that is subscription based per month for multi user.
Let's say that I want some help with my project and find a developer here that want to take some extra work.
In this case if I don't have the multiuser license I could buy this monthly subscription Add-in to be able to open my project to this other developer, and I leave this monthly subscription active as long as I want to have this opened to this other developer.
And if this other developer doesn't have a multiuser version he can also buy this monthly subscription Add-in to be able to get some extra work with helping others.
And maybe we could have a part in this forum where experienced developers (that have the multiuser version or this monthly subcription add-in) could post a listing that they can accept some extra work and the timeframe when they are awailable.
Just thinking out loud, what do you think @admin and @everyone ?

@Davor,

thank you, it makes sense and we'll see what we can do.
