When you say play, do you mean play in the browser like YouTube? Videos played in a broswer require a streaming setting from the server. Otherwise they will either download as a file or fully download the file before playing in a media player. Having a video streaming server is usually such a palava, that people enbed YouTube - with their rubbish ads or pay for Vimeo, add free and embed. |

It cannot be YouTube or Vimeo because they are videos of private medical studies that I upload to the user account on the patients' page, but the videos generated by the CT machine are in .mov format and the phprunner video player says which is not compatible |

I havent used the Phprunner videos. But when I needed to stream videos back in the day, we had the choice of NGINX with the streaming mod for high volume. I think there was an apache mod too for low volume videos. But you need to enable that at a server level. Once streaming is enabled, any HTML5 reference to the video will stream. .MOV requires an Apple server - it's owned by apple. Use mp4 for streaming, its global. |
