View in Browser goes to Edge regardless of default browser settings

After a recent Win 10 update, the view in Browser started going to Edge even though my default browser is firefox. Windows now makes it very difficult to assign applications. Does someone know how to fix this so the "View in Browser" goes to the default browser?

Hi Fred,
Two things you can try, the first you may already done.

  1. Set default browser by typing "default apps" in your search bar and change anything in there from bing to firefox.
  2. Disable Microsoft Edge in the starup by going into "Task Manager" , then more details, then the Start-Up tab. Find Microsoft Edge and select Disable.

Sad thing about this is Microsoft will probably put out another update that will reset everything back to Edge.
