Add current date after signing on signature pad

I use signature pad plugin in a form. Upon signing the pad, how could it auto fill the Date field with current date?
Appreciate it anyone can share how to achieve this. Thank you

I don't think this is possible. You cannot possibly know if user already finished signing or still in the process.

I think the easiest way is to populate this date field behind the scene in events like BeforeAdd/BeforeEdit.
