Dashboard as Landing Page

Hi folks
New here, so thanks for bearing with me!
[Using PHPR 10.7 - Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit - Apache 2.4 via XAMPP 3.2 ]

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to land on a dashboard (have one designed) after login and not getting to the 'menu' page.
I don't need the menu page at all since this is already visible at the left..

Under 'Misc' under 'Landing page' there are just the two choices 'menu' and 'login' but no trace of 'Dashboard' ...

From an older entry here I found out, that I can delete all those menus from said page (have done that, so that I now get an empty page after login) and that there should be an option to "Skip the menu page when only one item is available to the user " in "Welcome page options" . Unfortunately I can't find this option neither...

What am I missing?

Thanks for each and every input on this!

Charles

P.S: PHPR is a fantastic software - why haven't I found it sooner? :-)

Make sure you are selecting 'Dashboard' from the Table dropdown. I guess you have <global> selected there and this is why you only see menu and login.

Hi admin

Many thanks for your reply!

Unfortunately the choice of 'Dashboard' isn't among those available:

And irrespective of having a table or the entry for the Dashboard selected in the tables list:

Thanks for your help!

Well, there is a scrollbar in the list of tables on that dialog.

Thanks again, admin for your help.

Well, there ain't an entry called 'Dashboard' ....
Besides 'global' , admin_members and admin_users it's just listing tables - like on the following screenshot of the whole list of tables on said dialog I made:

And if that helps, here's my Dashboard - two lists, related to each other by a 1:n relationship:

I am sure that I do miss something, but hopefully not something this obvious :-)

Thanks for your help - much appreciated!

This is really strange, definitely works on this side. Anyway, you can proceed to the Editor screen, right click on dashboard page and choose 'Set as Landing page'.

Thanks again admin!

Well, this got a bit bizarre.

There was nothing on the editor screen.
I then went to the designer screen and clicked on the '+' sign at the top.
And lo and behold I was able to create a dashboard:

It then said to modify it on the dashboard layout screen.
When going there, it showed my original dashboard.
Going further I then was able to set the dashboard as the landing page:

Going to the editor screen I could now see the dashboard:

Which looked OK as it is (i.e. before further refinements).

BUT:
After building the project anew, the dashboard still didn't show :-(
Well, I then got back into PHPR checked everything again and tried to build it once again.
This time it threw an error message:

Deleting everything out under xampp\htdocs\repairshack and building the project yet again, didn't help as it drew the same error message.

And now I am at a loss ...

Any more ideas?

Thanks

Well this error message has something to do with permissions...
I must have probably messed things up big time when I wasn't yet knowing what I was doing ;-)

I guess, the best thing is to start over anew (I haven't done much yet, so that's the quickest thing to do)...

Thanks for your input so far.

Try to turn off Dynamic Permissions and turn them on again.

It will also be benefitial if you create a new post with a meaningful subject for every different issue. Just makes things easier to track.

Thanks, admin, again for your input!

And, yes, that's what I meant with my reply - if said problem with dynamic permissions should continue, I will open a new thread.
I will first try to 'reset' those as you suggest and if this doesn't help, I will rather start from scratch (I don't trust my beginners moves one bit ;-) ...

Thanks and have a nice day!
