New User - Access to shared folders on registration

Hi Guys

New user to docmanager template - I love it but have hit a major hurdle in what I want it to do.
I have numerous shared folders (all users, read only) BUT any new users cannot see any folders, I have to log in as admin and click on each folder share button to enforce the share to all users options..

I need most if not all of my folders to be automatically shared on successful registration.

Can someone please explain how to achieve this (I'm not a coder!)
