Have I asked this and did I get it fixed

PHPRunner do not support this search for more than 1 item in the same field.

We plan to add this feature in the next PHPRunner version.

When is this feature available

Is this a competent work around - is there a better way.
Soethings will work with contains field. All th St-Emilion group appellations

we have listed include St-Emilion so I dont have to create a different group.
Where this is not the case I have created a new field called medoc group

it includes the following 4 appelations
M%E9doc

Haut-M%E9doc

Listrac

Moulis
I have manually populated this "Medoc Group" field with 1s for the for 4 appellations
So now a search on Medoc Group will return all 4 appelations.
This will be a check box field for the user (is varchar the best field choice at the MySql level?)

you can use your workaround or the following:

1. modify SQL query on the Edit SQL query.
   
   Here is an example:
   

   select Appellation,
   

   
   field1 as Appellation1,
   
   field1 as Appellation2
   
   ...
   
   from table1

where table1 is you actuial table name.
2. then remove Appellation1 and Appellation2 from all pages except Adv Search page on the Choose fields tab.
And now you can select Sauternes value for the Appellation, Barsac value for the Appellation1 and Cerons value for the Appellation2 on the Advanced Search Page.

I am sorry - maybe I misunderstood...
I have a field: "Street Name"
and would like to search for all the people who live on "Market Street" OR on "Walnut Street"
Is this possible in advanced search?
I tried street name... contains... "market" or "walnut"
but that doesn't work...

You can use advanced search form for this purpose. Set "Edit as" type of Street field to "Lookup wizard", set "Number of rows" to any number greater than one.
Proceed on the search page and select two streets in this listbox. Search results show all addresses that belong to one of those street names.

Sorry, I am still confused... I am trying to use version 3.1 there is no "Edit as" area, as this now seems to have been replaced by the "visual editor" ... so I went into this editor and on the search page, I tried to add a lookup wizard to the street field... now your instructions say to set "number of rows" to any number greater than one... Again I see no "number of rows" selection... there is, however, a "multiline" selection, which I changed to 3... however when i test this, i am still only able to select ONE street from the list...

so this doesn't seem to work???
i was hoping the new 3.1 version would allow me to add multiple parameters into each field... this lookup wizard workaround, is confusing me... i have tens of thousands of streets in my database... wouldn't this lookup field take forever to load? especially if i add a lookup wizard for each field where i want to search on multiple parameters ?
