K khussain author Hi, im very new to ASP ... im working in a private company as an MIS Coordinator ... i got a project where i have make and web base Data entry page where i can get record on daily basis ... now the problem is that many people enter the same data again and again as they dont remember or they do it on purpose .. i want to get ot notified by email as well as it will aske the person that this is an Duplicate entry is he/she is sure to enter it along with i can record the time and date when this duplicate data was enter ? some have done anything on this ... please let me know ....

	You can use BeforeAdd event to check if specific records exists. We have a sample event code in help file that does exactly what you need.
