I must be missing something.
I added some icons to my menus using the menu editor (as we did in v9.8). The only icons that show up are the menu group items. All the other menu items have no icons.
I found on the designer page where I could change the icons for each item that appeared on the menu landing page. But, still don't see any other new way of changing these icons.
I tried a full upload just in case the icons had not uploaded.

I'm not quite sure I understand. If you can change icons in Page Designer why do you need to find a "new way" of doing the same?

I can change the icons in the page designer for the welcome items.
I cannot change the icons in the top nav menu from the Page Designer (or cannot find where).
I changed the icons for the top nav menu using the Menu Builder on the Editor page - however, those icons do not show up on the generated page. The only icon that shows up is the icon I assigned a menu group.

have you tried to change the icons on the table tab menu editor button located in the left beside the sync database button?
You will see a list if items/links, double click one and choose the Icon you desire from the built in ones or upload your own
I use this all the time chance icons etc.

yes, that is where I'm changing them - the real weird part is that if you inspect the code that is being uploaded the glyphicon code is THERE - but, the icons do not show with one exception - the "group" menu item called "admin" where I put a bunch of submenu items has it's icon showing - the rest are not displaying.

Maybe you can try an Alternative browser or clearing you cache.
Or try possibly deleting a link/links from the menu editor,add new menu items after.
See if that works.

Are those not for the sidebar? When the sidebar is in collapse state the words disappear and the Icons show? Then when in expanded view the icons disappear and the words show?

well, this is just getting more frustrating.
I tried two other browsers with cleared history and cache. Still the same issue.
I'm using the TOP bar menu location, not the side nav. However, just for the heck of it I switched it to sidebar.
So - as Tandy says the icons show in collapsed mode and when expanded the icons disappear and the words show - except for the group menu item it shows the icon both ways.
I would really just rather use the topbar and get the icons like I did in v9.8.

Try this. Go to your menu builder, Where you edited your icon or picked and icon. Below that it says show icon. Pick always. It might be that is in side menu only?

That was it! Coming from v9.8 where sidebar was not an option I did not even notice that ability to set always or side menu only. Problem solved. Thanks so much!
