Desiger page templates

Something that would really be nice is would be a way to save a Designer page template to re-use in other projects similar to templates without have to import a whole template. I'm talking about No fields, snippets or anything fancy just CSS, column and cell spacing settings. Basic form layout. It is great to add new pages in the designer view and copy the settings, but it would be really nice to do same type of thing without the field and code overhead that come with template imports.. Trying not to recreate the wheel with standard forms. The same page layout for a soccer roster also works well for an auto shop customer list. Fields and code may be different, but the overall form look (cell, column, and, css ) wise would be the same.
If you all quit today (PLEASE DON"T !!!) , this would the still be the most badass php program out there> It would hold it's own for many years to come too...
