Possible to Create a Button with a variable link?

Hi guys,
I have a concat variable = {$URL_value} (this is a combo of 2 items example item 1 = http://www.abc.com/ and item 2 = about.php) just an example
I am trying to create a button that points to the combined variable {$URL_value}. So when I click the button it goes to (for example) http"//www.abc.com/about.php
I tried a few times but I only get the text link, couldn't put a button on it.
