Setting the width on view page

I am not sure how to post this.
I have a "Personnel Page" that includes a "text area" using ckeditor.
When some one types up their bio and saves it then you go view it, the bio field goes beyond the screen size.
I have checked that the field in the view page has "word wrap" check in the Visual Editor.
I have tried adjusting the container width - but it doesn't make a difference.
Any Suggestions on how to correct this?
