MariaDB - Rackspace Cloudsites

I host my PHPRunner applications at Rackspace on their CloudSites infrastructure. I have received a notification that they are phasing out MYSQL and will be replacing it with MariaDB. A couple of questions.

  • Is there plans for PHPRunner to support MariaDB?
  • Has anyone migrated PHPRunner applications from MYSQL to MariaDB? If so, how much pain was involved?

It should work without making any changes but you won't find out until you actually try it.

... while http://www.memsql.com is the fastest alternative, yet unfortunately Xlinesoft support wrote me by ticket mail, it's total non-sense to them as they only support my inspirunner oriented proposal to run WINDOZE for .asp compliance purposes.

Zero pain. Have been using MariaDB v5.5 for 3 months in a production environment with no issue. Zero changes were required PHPRunner except connection string data. MariaDB was built by the creator of MySQL.
