AD authentication PHP 8.0 enterprise

I have two questions on authentication and not sure it will work or not.
First - Our AD is not open and requires a resource account to access AD before a user can be authenticated. Has anyone done authentication using this method. I don't seem to be able to reach the server. In addition, it is als ldaps that is used to acccess.
Second - I would like to do the same process that is described in this topic. Internal groups with permissions for access control and only use AD to validate the user and password. I have searched, but have not had any luck finding this answer.
