UTF-8 Good on Demo server, bad on local

Made a new test project from scratch with 1 table.

UTF-8 on the page (buttons and labels) displays correctly.

Date from the DB (éà ç) displays wrong.

It is a working production DB that works fine on the website.

BUT...all works fine on the DEMO website.


Any idee how to solve this?

PS What seems lacking is the possibility to specify logon options in the DB connection creation for a new project.
