Hide empty fields in list view

I have searched the forums, but havent found a good clear way to hide empty fields in the list view. My customer doesn't want any empty fields to be listed in their list view. I have tried a few examples that is shown for ASPRunner, but none for PHPRunner. This would be a good feature to add for list view, we have it for view, but not for list.
So what is the code, and where do we enter it to hide empty fields in the list view?
