7.2 version - Images not resizing

I think I'm missing something. I'm using uploaded images in a DB and after trying the resize option for the field, and the thumbnail option, the full size image still displays on the list page, the edit page, and the add page. Is there something that would prevent thumbnailing or resizing of the image?

Make sure you have ASPJpeg component installed on the web server.
