Menu Items

I have added images on the menu via Modify Item:Menu Events - $menuItem->setTitle("<img src=images/company1.png width=22 height=22 align=absmiddle>Companies");
It is working fine, but whenever the mouse hovers above the image or link, it displays <img src=images/company1.png width=22 height=22 align=absmiddle>Companies
How can I hide it.
