Get Phprunner 4.2 To Work In Windows 8

I need to do an update to a project I made using phprunner 4.2. The software itself installed OK, but when I enter my key, it won't save. I close the program and re-open it, and the key is gone and tells me I still need to enter the unlock code and it is still in trial period mode.
I was able to use 4.2 without issue on a Windows 7 computer, but not on my new Windows 8 computer. Any suggestions?

PHPRunner 4.2 wasn't designed to work under Windows 8. Most likely your only choice is to upgrade to the latest version of PHPRunner.

I already have the latest version. I was simply hoping to not have to redo all the work in the project in a new version just to make a few basic changes.

I understand. Probably you can use a virtual machine with Windows XP on it to run PHPRunner 4.2. Not sure what else to suggest.
